It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Louie on Sept. 29, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney.
Born March 25, 1918, in Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late Daniel and Irene (Jessome) Theriault.
Louis retired from the Steel Plant in 1982 after 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marcelle (Theberge); daughters, Irene, Dartmouth, Mona (Ray) Finlay, Alberta, Lois (Patrick) Butts, Saskatchewan; sons, Ronald (Carol), Millville, Kenny, Dartmouth, Billy (Sylvia), Ontario; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Gertrude (Bill) Devoe, Sydney, Phonse (Marge), Montreal; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Theriault was predeceased by two brothers, Wilfred and David, and one sister, Theresa Gillis.
No visitation by his request. Funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct 2 at St. Anthony Daniel Church, Sydney, with Fr. Donald MacGillivary. Interment to take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
