Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, September 28, 2009, Mrs. Helen A. Kennedy of North River, aged 69 years. Predeceased by parents John and Bridget (nee Mahoney) Morrissey; twin sisters: Angela and Angeline, brother Thomas; stepbrother John; stepmother Mrs. Florrie (nee Cummings) Morrissey. Bartholomew Kennedy and Helen Aloysuis Morrissey were married at All Hallow’s Roman Catholic Church on September 22, 1960. Now, 47 years later, the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for the life of Helen Kennedy in the same church. Leaving to mourn besides her loving husband Bartholomew, sons: Bartholomew John, Bowmanville, Ontario, Blair Joseph, Ottawa, Ontario; daughters: Elizabeth Anne (Gerard) Whelan, Barrie, Ontario, Beverly Anne (Francis) Skinner, Upper Gullies, Clara Mary (Peter) Buckley, Etobicoke, Ontario; sisters: Sr. Betty Morrissey, Sisters of Mercy, St. John’s, Anne Marie (James) Snow, Bowmanville, Ontario; five grandchildren: Katie and Julia, Emma, Chloe and Abigayle; and a large circle of extended relatives and friends. Resting at Moore’s Funeral Home, Clarke’s Beach. Visitation Tuesday 7-9 p.m., Wednesday 10-12 Noon, 2-5 p.m., 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. from All Hallow’s R.C.
