Passed in: Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Hoodicoff on September 28, 2009.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sharon; daughters Toni, Corinna (James Moore) and granddaughter Mirin; and brothers Len (Carol), Wayne, Ken (Ann), and Rick (Mary), their families and many dear friends.
Paul was born on April 19, 1948 in Nelson, B.C. He spent his youth in the Kootenays, and then graduated from the University of British Columbia with a teaching degree. Paul spent the next 32 years teaching elementary students in the Kamloops School District, and was loved and respected by students and their families.
Paul shared his humour and passions with everyone. He loved being in the outdoors, canoeing, fishing, golfing, playing slow-pitch, and enjoying his new hobby of curling. Music and playing the guitar were constant sources of enjoyment, and he loved to share his enthusiasm with members of his guitar circle and other musicians. Paul cherished his friends, family and new granddaughter, taking delight in every moment.
The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. C. Outram and Dr. I. Barnard for their kindness and support.
Memorial service and a celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2009 in the Terrace Room at Thompson Rivers University.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the B.C. Cancer Foundation.
