Surrounded by his loving family at the Dr. Walter Templeman Hospital, Chesley Gosse, age 83 years, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Predeceased by his parents Mark and Elizabeth, sons George and Leonard, brothers Austin and Melvin, grandchildren William and Mylinda Gosse and special friend Cyril Jackman. Left to remember all of the fond and loving memories are Florence Gosse (wife) and his eleven children: Chesley Jr. (Marilyn), Gordon (Lillian), Donald (Winifred), Linda Gosse, Lorraine (William Butler), Sandra (Patrick Doherty), Irene (George Jackman), Clayton, Stirling (Margaret), Lewis (Derrick), Madonna Gosse (Gerald); his loving sisters: Alice (Lamoine Coombs), Irene (William Newell), Clara (Arch Newell); sisters-in-law: Emmy and Ida Gosse; daughter-in-law Lillian Gosse; his 25 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, a large number of nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all the staff of the Dr. Walter Templeman Hospital on Bell Island. As per Chesley’s request, cremation has taken place. No visitation. Funeral service will be celebrated at The United Church, Bell Island on Thursday, October 1st, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. Inurnment to follow at Anglican Cemetery, Bell Island. Family and friends are invited to St. Michael’s Hall following Inurnment to celebrate Chesley’s life.
