Charles James “Jim” Doran - 66, Truro
It is with deeply saddened hearts that we regret to announce the passing of beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Charles James (Jim) Doran, 66 of Truro, who left us suddenly on September 29, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Carol (MacKay). He had four beautiful children who were his treasures. His first born beautiful daughter, Annette (Lyndon McLellan), his second born, a handsome son, Kevin (Karen), another precious daughter, Michelle (Wayne Preeper), and his youngest, “his goldenchild” Timothy (Crystal). His most precious joy in life was the arrival of his wonderful grandchildren who fulfilled him immensely with joy and love. First to come was Kayla, followed shortly thereafter by Matthew, Rachel-Ann, Charlie, Jack, Brianna, and Brayden. He is also survived by his loving older brother and best friend, Joe (Toronto), sister, Marie MacDougall (Redcliffe, AB) and younger brother, Wayne, (Halifax). He was the son of the late Linus and Mable Doran. He will always be remembered as “The Spring Man” from Wilson's Truck Body for many years. He then worked at T&R Trucking which he was devoted to. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th from 7-9 pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. A Memorial Mass will be held October 5th at 11:00 am in Immaculate Conception Church, 669 Prince Street, Truro. Reception to follow in the parish hall.
