GODDARD, GEORGE - Mr. George Goddard of Sussex Corner passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on August 11, 2011 at the age of 90. He was the son of the late Irvine and Vera (Smith) Goddard and the husband of the late Frances (Bradley) Goddard who passed away in 2000. George is survived by his daughters, Phyllis Brown (Ronald) and Sharon Clain; 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; his half brother, Billy Clain and half sister Vera (Kit) Beckett; as well as by several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his son, Louis who passed away in 1994, by his brother, Gerald and son in law Bernard Clain.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A Celebration of George’s life will be held from Sussex Wesleyan on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at 2:00pm. The interment will take place at Gosline Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations made to Heart and Stroke of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
