A graveside service for the late MacDonald Youden, who passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2011, in Halifax, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney, with Rev. Glen Kent officiating. A reception will follow at St. John Anglican Church, North Sydney.
MacDonald was born in North Sydney, Aug. 7, 1952, the son of the late Raymond and Marjorie (MacDonald) Youden.
He is survived by his two sisters, Shirley Dickson and Brenda Kennedy and nieces and nephews.
He passed away peacefully in Halifax where he lived for the last three years, and previously lived in Boston, Mass., where he ran his own painting company for 30 years.
