ROBICHAUD, EDGAR - 1923-2011 - Edgar Robichaud, 88, of Moncton, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2011, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Alban and the late Emma (née Collette) Robichaud. Mr. Robichaud was an avid hockey player, for many years participating in both playing and coaching, until he ultimately hung up his skates at age 82. He was a WWII army veteran before working at Canada Post, from where he retired. He was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or and the Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption parish. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rita (née LeBlanc); three sons, Gerald (Janet), Paul (Helen) and Ronald (Carmella), all three of Moncton; five grandchildren, Alisha, Denise, Paul, Glen and Robert; six great-grandchildren, Austin, Kristin, Ashley, Brandon, Mary-Beth and Amy.
By request, no visitation. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption, Moncton on Tuesday, August 16 at 11:00 am.
