HOPPER, MAUD B. - Maud B. Hopper, 80, of Moncton, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, August 12, 2011. Born in Monteagle, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Flora (Lewis) Lewis. Maud was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and was a member of Hillside Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, growing flowers, was an avid bird watcher, an excellent cook, enjoyed socializing with her friends and spending precious time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Maud will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 47 years, Everett; her children, Lisa Keirstead (Brad Watts), Alex and Charles “Chuck” (Krista), all of Moncton; precious grandchildren, Mark, Darrick, Cassandra, Lauren and Avery; cherished great-granddaughter, Keri; sisters, Marjorie Taylor (Fred), Shirley O’Blenes (late Grant), both of Salisbury, Julia Henry (Bill) and June Robichaud (late Rob), both of Monteagle; brothers, Robert “Bob” Lewis (Claudette) and Phillip Lewis (Phyllis), both of Monteagle; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
