With great sadness the family announces the passing of Ethel June (Leard) Douglas, at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga, on Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at the age of 82.
Beloved wife of the late William “Leslie” Douglas, and formerly of the late Elmer Earl Coffin; loving mother of David Coffin (Stephanie), Susan (Glen Crawford), Philip Coffin (Kris) and Ken Coffin (Judith); cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Joe Taffe), Eric Coffin (Andrea), Jonathan Crawford (Christy), Alex, Danielle, Katie, Staci and Taylor Coffin and great-grandmother of Connor Taffe. Dear sister of Ora (Archie MacArthur), and the late Doris, Phyllis and Ivan. Sister-in-law of Gladys Leard, Etta Ellis (Coffin) and Rev. Lane Douglas.
Ethel enjoyed her career as a registered nurse and was a devoted member of Applewood United Church. She will be greatly missed by family, friends and neighbours.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Neweduk-Erin Mills” Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., (just east of Erin Mills Pkwy), Mississauga on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Applewood United Church, 2067 Stanfield Rd., Mississauga, on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at 2 p.m.
