The death occurred suddenly at her late residence on Sunday, Aug. 14 , 2011, of Clara Elizabeth Lawless (nee Croken) of Kinkora, P.E.I., aged 72 years.
Clara was born on Oct. 28, 1938, in Emerald, P.E.I., to her late parents, Neil and Jane (nee Hammill) Croken. Loving and caring mother of Justin (Cynthia) of Kinkora, Paul (Louise) of Ottawa, Ont., Neil (Darlene) of Charlottetown, Marion of Kinkora, Bernard of Toronto, Ont., and Jacinta (Tim) Ramsay of Summerside. Loving Nan to AJ, Matthew, Bernadette, Michael, Sasha, Melodie, Lauren, Ryan, Ella and Seamus. Survived by her brother, Rev. Robert Croken SJ of Toronto, Ont. and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Clara was predeceased by her daughter, Bernadette, and granddaughter, Leticia, along with numerous brothers and sisters.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Wednesday, Aug. 17, then to St. Malachy’s Church, Kinkora, for funeral mass at 10 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery.
Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial donations in Clara’s memory to the P.E.I. Right to Life Association or the P.E.I. Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
