The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, August 14, 2011, of LeRoy Campbell of Kensington, P.E.I.
LeRoy was born on Nov. 2, 1924, in Irishtown to his late parents, Preston and Etta (nee Arthur) Campbell. Survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruby (nee Cotton) Campbell; his children, Kathryn (George) Doughart and special son, Jason Silliker (Melanie Bertrand); grandchildren, Carrie and Ronda Campbell, Gordon and Allison Doughart, Maggie and Danny Campbell and Cayden Silliker; great-grandchildren, Carson and Caitlyn Doughart; brother, Arthur (Roma); and nephew, Roy. Besides his parents, LeRoy was predeceased by his son, Ronald.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Thursday, August 18, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in Geddie Memorial Cemetery, Springbrook.
