It is with great sadness the family of Margaret Dolores McDonald (nee Kennedy) announce the passing of our mother. She passed away Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at the age of 80 at the Rouge Valley Health System-Ajax with her family by her side.
Predeceased by her husband, Alex. Loving mother to Darlene (Rick), Marilyn (David) and Catherine (David). Proud grandmother to Jeffrey (Jennifer), Scott, Alexa, Sarah, Douglas, Michelle and Jonathan. Great-grandma to Josephine. Loving sister of Jeanette Shearon, Ann Stacey, Vic Kennedy and Terry Kennedy. Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Catherine Kennedy of Glace Bay, N.S., brothers and sisters, Marguerite Gales, Mary Olgley, Francis and Al Kennedy. The most important part of Mom’s life was her family.
She loved her children and grandchildren deeply. Her children have been blessed to have such a loving and caring mother. Mom you will always be loved and in our hearts.
Friends and Family may visit at the Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 1057 Brock Rd., Pickering, 905-686-5589 (just south of 401) from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday. A funeral service to honour Margaret’s life will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Duffin Meadows Cemetery.
