Peacefully at her late residence on Sunday, October 4, 2009, of Mrs. Guelda M. Gallant (nee Williams) of Charlottetown, age 79 years. Beloved wife of 56 years of Alphonse (Cullie) Gallant and dear mother of Clare Gallant, Randy (Charlene) Gallant, Terri (Reggie Affleck) Gallant, Ray (Deanna James) Gallant, Kathy (Paul) Weatherbie and Bobby (Tanya) Gallant. Guelda is also survived by 12 loving grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her sister Tillie Williams and brother Leo Williams. She was predeceased by her parents John and Zella (nee Gauthier) Williams; her sister, Mary Arsenault; and brothers Robert (Tic), Johnny, Dolphie, Sam, Maurice and Jimmy. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until Wednesday morning then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
