Passed peacefully away after a short illness on Saturday, October 3 at Carbonear hospital at age 75. Predeceased by father James and mother Gladys. leaving to mourn his wife Elizabeth, sons Gerald (Lynn) and Jack (Colleen), grandson Matthew, granddaughter Cyndi, brother Jim (Joan), sister Clarice, sisters-in-law Mabel and Susie (George), many nephews and nieces, his moose hunting buddies and a large circle of relatives and friends. Provincial Grand Secretary of the Loyal Orange Association of Newfoundland. Special thank you to the staff at the ICU and 7th floor of Carbonear hospital. He will long be remembered for his jokes and ability to make people laugh. Resting at Young’s Funeral Home, Spaniard’s Bay. Visitation from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7 at Holy Redeemer church, Spaniard’s Bay. Interment to follow at All Saint’s cemetery at Tilton. No flowers by request. Donations in his memory may be made to Daffodil Place or the Trinity-Conception-Placentia Health Care Foundation.
