Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, on August 18, 2011, after a brief illness, John Curran of Conception Harbour at age 62. Predeceased by his parents, Martin and Patricia, mother and father-in-law, Lawrence and Regina Ryan and brother-in-law, Gerry Chaytor. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Isabelle; two children: Marti (Cory Keefe) and Jay (Suzanne); three cherished grandchildren: Chloe, Presley and Zach; his sisters: Martina (Phil Cook) , Mary (Tommy Power), Marg (Bo Wilkerson), Annette, Donna (Gary Halley); his brother Tom, and brother-in-law, George Butland. Also, his sisters-in-law: Carmel (Henry Walsh), Mona, Iris (Jack Robinson), Linda (Murray Dobbin), Agnes (John Oja), Berdina (Keith Spencer), brothers-in-law Kevin Ryan (Betty), Mike Hedderson and step mother-in-law Freda Ryan, as well as many nieces, nephews and a large circle of family and friends. We would like to thank all those who visited in hospital and provided family support during this difficult time, especially his nieces Jill and Patti. We would also like to thank the nurses of 4 North A for their kindness and support. Visitation on Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Conway’s Funeral Home, Conception Harbour. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, August 22 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Church, Conception Harbour. Interment to follow.
