(nee Matthews) Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, February 21, 2008, Elsie Piercey of Hant's Hr., in her 80th year. Predeceased by her husband Walter (2000). Leaving to mourn her son Raymond (Sandra), their children Andrew and Lesley, St. John's; daughter Lillian (William Bishop Jr.), their children Brian (Jill Spencer) and Shelley, Whitbourne; sisters: Olive (Herbert Pardy) and Marion Brown; brother Donald (Lorraine) Matthews; sisters-in-law: Bessie Francis and Dorothy (George) Noseworthy; beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends. Friends will be received at Green's Funeral Home, Winterton on Friday and Saturday, February 22nd and 23rd, 1:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the United Church, Hant's Hr. Interment in the United Church Cemetery, Hant's Hr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Hant's Hr. United Church Memorial Fund.
