Marie Mason, age 82, of Springhill, passed away at the Highcrest Nursing Home on Thursday, October 1, 2009



Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Sadie (Livingston) Choisnet.



Marie was a well known musician in Springhill and area. She was organist at the Springhill Anglican Church, was an active performer with her husband Lloyd at many events over the years. Many people, young and old, benefited from her musical knowledge through her private music lessons.



She will be sadly missed by her son Alfred (Diana), Toronto; daughter Brenda (Arthur) Noiles, Rothesay, NB; 6 grandchildren, Kimberly, Alexis, Rocky, Lana, David and Paul; 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. As well as special family Michael Slater and Wendy (Slater) Lees and their families.



She was predeceased by her first husband Charles Seaman, her second husband Lloyd Mason and brother Carroll Choisnet.



Arrangements have been entrusted to the A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) where visitation took place on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service was held from All Saints Anglican Church on Monday, October 4, 2009 at 11 am. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
