ARSENEAULT, ALBENIE J. - The passing of Albenie Joseph Arseneault of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Friday, August 19, 2011. Born in Tracadie, NB, on February 4, 1928, he was a son of the late Arthur and Alexena (Noel) Arseneault and husband of the late Vanessa (Comeau) Arseneault. Albenie was a heavy equipment mechanic and was employed with John Deere and Wallace Equipment. He was a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church. Survived by his children, Arthur J. (Zelda) of Fredericton, Anita M. Taylor (Brian) of Calgary, Alberta, Edmond J. (Gladys) of Chance Harbor, Allan J. William Arseneault of Fredericton, Paul J. (Krista) of Fredericton, Peter J. (Tanya) of Lincoln, NB, Timothy Mark (Jenette) of Fredericton, Karen M. Bird (Lloyd) of Fredericton, Rosemarie M. Arseneault (Tim) of Keswick, NB; 14 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three brothers, Patrick and Lucien both of Tracadie and Elie of Saint John; ten sisters, Melda Comeau of Tracadie, Jeanette Boudreau, Patricia Robichaud (Gaspard), Georgette Boudreau (John), Angelena Dempsey (Joe), Noella Blanchard (Eddie) and Leona Crandlemire all of Saint John, Febula DeChamplain (Alfred), Mary Martha Penneault (Jean Paul) and Gloria Arseneault all of Seven Islands; numerous nieces and nephews. Albenie was predeceased by a son Luke; brothers Luger, Leo and Edmond.
Visitation will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Monday, August 22, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Fredericton, on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. John Jennings officiating. Interment in the Douglas Rural Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be sent to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
