FIELDING, THELMA ALTA - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Thelma Alta Fielding on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Wife of the late, George H. Fielding. Born in Kingston, NB on June 8, 1915 she was a daughter of the late, Stanley E. and Edith M. (Earle) Morrell. Thelma is survived by her children, Stanley (Susanne Mitchell) of Saint John and Sharon (the late Garnet) Basque of Langley, BC; three grandchildren, Crystal Basque (Jason); Garnet Basque Jr. and Stacy (Travis) MacCormack and her mother, Ardyth Fielding; two great-granddaughters, Taylor and Clarissa; one sister, L. Staneta (the late John) Innis; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, husband, son, Gary; infant daughter, Alta; two sisters, Flora Bates and Vera Morrell.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 1:00 pm from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Erbs Cove Cemetery.
