WHITE, Gertrude – Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family on August 18, 2011. Gertrude White, aged 93 years. Predeceased by her husband Gordon, son Robert, parents, Albert & Sara Strickland, grandson Stephen, brother, Albert Strickland, sisters, Julia and Clara. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: daughters: Rosalind (Rick), and Barbara (Paul); sons: Gordon (Ruth), Don, and Charlie; sister: Evelyn; daughters-in-law Eleanor and Florence; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, and on Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 2:00 pm from the Church of St. Mary The Virgin, with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
