THINGELSTAD-Wilma Sophia Marie (nee Mattson), passed away on October 1, 2009 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 97 years. She was born on March 12, 1912 in Waitville, SK. Wilma married Edward Thingelstad of the Tiger Hills district in 1935. Wilma is survived by 8 of her 9 children; Jean, Shirley (Arvin), Maurice, Marlene, Lyle, Charlotte (Boyd), Dean (Diane) And Patsy (William); 25 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 26 great-great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, sisters and brother-in-law and many other relatives and friends. Wilma was predeceased by her parents Carl and Eda Mattson, husband Edward, son Raymond, granddaughter-in-law Wendy Ulvild, son-in-law Sidney Blair, twin brother William, brothers Ole, Walter and David, sister Clara and her twin brother Clarence. Wilma’s family wished to thank everyone for attending the service today. Our sincere appreciation to the care givers of the Weldon Country Villa, The Victoria Hospital and the Herb Bassett Home for the special care they gave mom. In lieu of tributes memorial donations can be made to the Weldon Country Villa or charity of their choice. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Birch Hills Civic Centre, Birch Hills, SK with Lloyd Kneesch and Tom Young officiating.
