Suddenly, surrounded by her family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, October 4, 2009, of Mrs. Rita McKinnon of Charlottetown, age 82 years.
Beloved wife of the late Aeneas McKinnon and dear mother of Gail (Mel) Martin, Winsloe; Donna (Lomer) MacDonald, Cornwall; Gary, Charlottetown; David (Jean), Corran Ban; Beverley (Don) McMahon, Kelowna, B.C.; Darlene (Kevin) Hambly, Winsloe; and Jackie (Mim MacInnis), Charlottetown. She is also lovingly remembered by her eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Arsenault, Charlottetown; and her brother, Jack Martin, Scarborough, Ont.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Patsy; her parents, Louis and Margaret Perry; sisters, Mildred Taylor and Elizabeth Martin; brothers, Edmund, Joseph and John Perry, Arthur and Fred Martin; and great-grandson, Thomas Lomer MacDonald.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 1:45 on Wednesday afternoon, then transferred to St. Pius X Church, Charlottetown, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
