Passed peacefully away, in his seventieth year, at St Clare's Mercy Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 20th, 2011. Predeceased by parents Bill, Tryphenia and Ruth; brother David and best friends Brother and Sister-in-law Jack and Donna Lee. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Isabel (nee Hanlon); sons Peter, Mark (Sherry) and Tony (Betty-Ann) Chalifour; grandchildren Meagan and Sean; his siblings Rosalie Dawe, Bill (Betty), Ruby Covington, Ruth (Rick) Stanley, Judy Bearns, Cathy (Don) Fitzpatrick; sisters-in-law Betty Hanlon, Sharon (Marcel) Leblanc, Frances (Tom) Flodstrom, Florence (Dick) Carroll, Mannie Hanlon; Aunt Kay Ashbee; Uncle Steve (Bernice) Hillier. As well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends in St John’s & Port Kirwin. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd. on Sunday, August 21st from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Monday, August 22nd from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. Cremation to follow and private interment at Mount Carmel cemetery with immediate family.
