It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harold C. Garcin announce his passing on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 68 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 43 years Linda (nee Taylor); three sons: Michael (Trudi), Wayne (Shelley) and Adam (Debbie); 4 grandchildren: Emily, Jacob, Allie and Leah; sister: Thelma (Leo) Hicks, Bridgewater, NS; brother: Peter (Teresa) Garcin, Upper Tantallon, NS; father-in-law: Arthur (Mildred) Taylor, St. John’s; brother-in-law: Robert (Lisette) Taylor, Ottawa, Ont; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Nina Garcin, sister Kathleen Garcin, mother-in-law Edith Taylor and sister-in-law Sharon Taylor-Melanson. Friends may visit St. David of Wales Anglican Church in Pasadena on Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Edmund Laldin officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Cancer Centre Western Region or to a charity of one’s choice.
