Shirley McCloud (Née Crittenden)
1933-2024

Shirley Jean Lily Crittenden McCloud, 91, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2024 at the Maison Au Diapason in Bromont, Quebec. Shirley was born on January 11, 1933 to William and Dorothy Crittenden (Ettridge) in Montreal, Quebec. On February 9, 1952, Shirley married Harold McCloud from Kearny, New Jersey, he predeceased her on January 25, 2011. They lived in New Jersey for 25 years and raised two daughters, Karen and Donna McCloud. In 1977, they moved to Sutton, Quebec and resided there for many years in their home on the hill in Sutton Junction. There they ran the Ceramic Barn for many years where Shirley taught classes to many folks and sold her beautiful pieces of ceramics there and annually at the Brome Fair. Shirley’s final resi¬dence was in Cowansville at the Résidence des Bâtisseurs, there she made many new friends there and loved her gorgeous apartment with spectacular view of Bromont and the Eastern Townships.
Shirley leaves behind her family, Karen McCloud (Joe), Grand Daughter, Kath¬leen Flynn, Grandsons, Harrison Flynn (Alexis), Nigel Flynn (Ilish) and Great Grand Daughter Murphy Flynn. Donna McCloud (Jacques) and their family Caitlin Lupi (Trevor), Rachel Provost (Josses), Lindsay Provost and Jamieson Provost and Great Grandson Liam Provost Rola. Close friend, Cecile Poirier and dearest friends at the Residence; Gwen, Beverly, Margaret and Pauline.
There will be no services in Quebec. A private family internment will be in New Jer¬sey later in the year.
