(1909-2009). Passed peacefully away on Monday, October 5, 2009, at her home in Whitbourne in the presence of her family, Melina (March) Gosse in her 101st year. Melina was the oldest resident of Whitbourne. Predeceased by her husband Harold Gosse, parents Albert and Jane March, sister Annie Piercey, brothers: David, Maxwell and Howard, son-in-law Munden Hobbs. Left with fond and loving memories three sons: Graham (Emily), Lloyd (Peggy), Bill (Sylvia); three daughters: Hazel Hobbs, Vida (Isaac) Kelland, Alma (Richard) Kelly; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Pearl March, Rose Mercer, Marguerite (Harvey) Mercer; as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Holloway’s Funeral Home, Cabot Avenue, Whitbourne. Visitation Wednesday, October 7, 2009, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 8 at 2 p.m. from Trinity United Church, Blaketown. Interment to follow at the Whitbourne United Church Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Prostate Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
