Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, August 21, 2011, of Andrew E. (Andy) MacLean of MacLean Ave., Kensington, aged 82 years.
Born in Kensington, September 24, 1928, son of the late Gerald and Hazel (Harding) MacLean. Husband of Doreen (Smith) MacLean. Father of Don (Cathy) MacLean, Kensington; Brenda (Ron) Cutcliffe, Cape Traverse; Arnold MacLean, Waverley, N.S.; and Calvin (Tracy) MacLean, Kensington. Grandfather of Carolyn (Chris) Doucette, Halifax, N.S.; Ashley and Aryn MacLean, Waverley, N.S.; and Emma, Kelsey and Hillary MacLean, Kensington. Step-grandfather of Chris Cutcliffe Borden-Carleton and Scott (Sharon) Cutcliffe, Augustine Cove. Step-great-grandfather to Makenzie, Savanna and Makayla Cutcliffe, Augustine Cove. Brother-in-law of Joyce Best (late Ray), Norma (Lyman) Huestis, Eileen Heffel (late Wesley) and Alan (Mary Lou) Crozier. Predeceased by his sister, Geraldine (Robert) Graham, and brother, Judson (Winnifred) MacLean.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington. No visitation by personal request. Funeral Wednesday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment in People's Cemetery, Kensington.
