Marguerite Lillian Gallant age 93, of Amherst passed away Sunday, October 04, 2009 at Maple Stone Enhanced Care home in Halifax.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late John and Herminie (Leger) Gallant.
Marguerite looked after her mother for many years until her mother's passing.
She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family which was very important to her.
Marguerite will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her sister, Catherine Roof of Clarence Creek, ON; as well as three nieces; Louise (Bob) Britton of Orleans, ON, Yolande (Alan) Rigby of Rockland, ON and Lorraine (David) McFarlane of Uxbridge, ON; and also her nephew, Pierre Roof of Toronto, ON.
She was predeceased by her brother, Emile; sister, Irene Gallant and niece, Yvonne Gay.
A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayer at 8 p.m. all at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906)
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Memramcook, NB.
