The death of Donald James MacGregor, 79, of Sackville occurred at the Drew Nursing Home on Thursday, August 18, 2011.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, James was a son of the late Donald and Dorothy (Bristol) MacGregor.
James was a decorated veteran of the Korean War, having served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his daughter Erika Keenan as well as her husband Randy Keanon and their two children, James's grandchildren, Megan and Ethan. Erica is the daughter of Celine Bourgain.
James is also survived by his sister Dorothy Scarbro.
James's remains have been cremated under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, Sackville, NB (364-1300). There will be no visitation. A graveside committal service will be held at St. Vincent's Holy Rosary Cemetery at a later date. Father Allison Carroll officiating.
At the request of the family, memorial donations may be made to the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville.
