(1921-2011): Passed peacefully away at St. John’s on August 23, 2011, Edgar Parsons, aged 89 years, formerly of Greenspond, NL. Predeceased by wife Nita in 1986 and daughter Christine Shaffer in 2002; also sister, Sarah Carter and brother, Herbert Parsons. Leaving to mourn son, Edgar Jr. (Nancy) and daughter, Donna French (Bob); grandchildren: Gina, Robert, Jennifer, Jillian and Rob; six great grandchildren; sister, Marie Blackwood (Jim) of Carmanville, NL and special friend Gladys Dowden of Greenspond, NL as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
