Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on October 5, 2009 at the Health Sciences Centre, Bernard Grace, age 61 years of Avondale. Ben faced a 4 year battle with Multiple Myeloma with great faith and courage. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Elizabeth Grace, mother and father-in-law John and Mary A. Roche, and brother-in-law Cyril Roche. He leaves to mourn his loving wife and best friend of 32 years Teresa (nee Roche); his dearly loved girls: Bernie-Ann (Eddy Ezekiel), Morgan and Karla and his eagerly awaited baby granddaughter Penelope Grace Ezekiel. Also leaving to mourn his sisters: Madeline, Patricia (Nick Dalton), Madonna (Raymond Ballard), Kathleen (Robert Johansson), Josephine (Roland Burt); his brother Patrick (Sandy); special sister-in-law Jean Grace; brothers and sisters-in-law: John (Imelda), Shirley (Bob), Beverly (Dave), Bernice (Jerome), Derek (Mary) and Rick; as well his many nieces, nephews, other friends, especially members of the Iron Workers Local 764. Visitation at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood on Tuesday and Wednesday from 12 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from Assumption Church, Avondale. Cremation to follow. Inurnment will be at Assumption Cemetery, Avondale.
