DORE, MERRILL FRASER - Merrill F. Dore of Southampton, NB passed away August 25, 2011 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB. He was born at Southampton, NB in 1938, a son of the late Walter and Mary (Ritchie) Dore. Merrill loved and lived life to the fullest, enjoying his wheeler, fishing, hunting and telling hunting stories to all who would listen, most of which were true, others told with a twinkle in his eye. He was always the same colorful character, never complaining and loved by family, neighbors and friends who say so long to a big man with a big heart. Merrill is survived by his sisters, Shirley Dickinson, Rossville, NB and Thelma Marsten, Fredericton, NB; a sister-in-law, Aldena Dore, Southampton, NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Glenna Drost and two brothers, Medley and Earle Dore.
Although there will be no visitation, friends are welcome to attend a funeral service to be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Lenentine Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Merrill, the family has suggested the Lenentine Cemetery or the Cancer Society.
