CORMIER, ALCIDE - Alcide Cormier, 82, formerly of Boudreau West passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Villa Providence Home in Shediac. Born in Cap Pelé, Alcide was the son of the late Fred and Annie (LeBlanc) Cormier. He founded and
operated K-W Paving in Kitchener, Ontario for over 25 years. Alcide loved his family immensely and lived life to the fullest. He was a friend to everyone and will be missed by all, including his friends at Tim Horton's in Shediac. He was also a member of the Boishébert Club in
Shediac. Faithful husband and best friend to his wife Rita (nee Mélanson) for over 60 years. Alcide was the caring father to Bernard (Nancy) and Brenda Bin (Richard) of Ontario. He is predeceased by a son Gary (surviving wife Bonnie). Alcide will also be greatly missed by his three brothers: Alfred (Maria), Alonzo (Ellen), Emerie (Jean) and nine sisters: Anita Cormier (late Léo), Florence Bourque (Romuald), Léona Goguen (Léonce), Délima Maillet (late Alphonse), Corrine Goguen (Albert), Rose-Anna Waite (Jack), Prémilia Doiron (Ovila), Françine Cormier (late Ronald) and
Dorilla Brun (Rhéal). He is predeceased by a sister Victorine and two brothers Léo and Oswald. Alcide was greatly loved and respected by eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Monday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure at 10:50 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph's R.C.
