BEST, REGINALD "REG" - With his wife, Pauline at his side, the death of Reg Best occurred at Bobby's Hope House on Friday, August 26, 2011. He was born on August 10, 1937 at Placentia Bay, NL to the late Malcolm and Mary (Ennis) Best. Reg worked as a superintendent in Toronto for many years and retired as a superintendent for the Lantern House in Saint John. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pauline (Knox); daughter, Tracey Best of Halifax; sister, Pearl Kiley (Joe)) of St. Marys Bay, NL; three step-children: Shelley Craft (John), Terry Harper (Lorrie) and Kimberly Gray (Rick); six step-grandchildren: Adam (Katelyn), Kimber, Keith, Kory, Mikayla and Cynthia, and one step-great-grandson, Kane. Reg was predeceased by his parents, and brother, Frederick Best.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 2 PM. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
