73, of Greenwood, N.S., passed away peacefully on 22 August, 2011, at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton surrounded by her loving family. Marjorie was born in St. Joseph’s, Salmonier, N.L. on January 31, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Fergus and Caroline (Long) Power. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joe, daughters: Charlene Lundrigan (Ray Jodrey), Grande Prairie, Alta. and Shawna Dunsworth (Jim), Halifax, N.S., six sisters: Nancy Kearsey, St. John’s, N.L., Monica Ryan (Jurek), St. John’s, N.L., Hilda Gutscher (Ken), Kitchener, Ont., Augusta Gough (Martin), St. Joseph’s, N.L., Carol Valcourt (Nelson), Labrador City, N.L., Marie Hancock (Alastaire), Edmonton, Alta., and four brothers: Fergus (Ruby), Kingston, Ont., Don (Pauline), Salmonier, N.L., Bruce (Sheila), St. Catherines, N.L. and Greg (Elizabeth), Dartmouth, N.S., and precious grandchildren: Dustin (Christina), Alix, Jordan, Jenny, Adam and great-granddaughter Vayda. Marjorie was predeceased by her son Craig. She was a caring, kind and loving wife and mother who had an infectious sense of humor and always saw the best in people. She will be surely missed by everyone who knew her. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service in her memory will be held at a later date at the home she loved — St. Joseph’s, St. Mary's Bay, N.L..
