At the Beach Grove Home, Charlottetown, on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, of Carolyn Pickering MacGougan, formerly of Kensington and Malpeque, age 89 years.
Born in Sea View on July 1, 1920, daughter of the late John W. and Eva Britt (Cameron) Pickering. Wife of the late Sidney M. MacGougan. Mother of Percy, Charlottetown; Garth, Porter’s Lake, Nova Scotia; Charlotte (Archie) Stewart, Bayview; Edith (Layton) Huestis, Kelvin Grove; John (Elizabeth), Quispamsis, New Brunswick; Margo MacGougan and her husband Roger Purnell, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia; and Ian of Malpeque. Grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Elva Pickering and Eileen Pickering, both of Kensington. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by daughter, Barbara Ann MacGougan; brothers, Anson and his wife Eileen, Wallace, Heber and Challis Pickering, in infancy; sister, Marion and her husband James Evans.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of funeral at 3 p.m. in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in People’s Cemetery, Malpeque.
