Louise Jessie Doucet, 77 of Sydney passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Dorothy MacNeil.
Louise was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Sydney for many years. For over 30 years, she worked for Scotiabank throughout Canada until her retirement. Louise loved shopping and seeing her friends at skating.
She is survived by James, her husband of 43 years; brothers, Donald, BC, Anthony (Mary Jane) and Charles (Gunner), both of Sydney along with several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Gerry (Beverly) and Joseph (JoJo).
At Louise’s request, there will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, Sacred Heart Church, Sydney with Fr. Anthony O’Connor officiating. Buarial will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Louise’s memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Cancer Society, Cape Breton Palliative Care Unit or to the VON.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, Sydney.
