Ralph Alward
ALWARD, RALPH A. - Ralph Abner Alward, 71, of Salisbury passed away Saturday evening, August 27, 2011, surrounded by his family at the Georges Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Salisbury he was a son of the late Clifton and Mary (Taylor) Alward. A graduate of then Salisbury Regional High School,class of 58, he retired as an auditor with Tempo Transfer. He was a former member of the Salisbury Lions Club and a past Scout Leader. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and yard work. Survived and sadly missed by his beloved wife of 50 years Jenny (Sheffar); children Corinne Lounsbury (Vernon) of Intervale, Troy (Janell) of Keswick Ridge, Julie Clowater (Patrick) of Chatham On., Gammon (Donna) of Fall River N.S., Breck (Sherry) of Kamloops B.C. Survived also by twelve cherrished grandchildren, two great grandchildren , several nieces and nephews; a sister in law Jenny Alward and a brother in law Donald Gillies. Predeceased by a sister Carolyn Gillies, brothers Merle and an infant.
Visitation will be at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday August 31 at 2 p.m. with Rev. D. Compton officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery, Salisbury. If desired memorials to the Lung Association or Moncton S.P.C.A. would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca
