DOW, EDNA GERTRUDE - Surrounded by her loving family, Edna Gertrude Dow, wife of Daniel Dow passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born June 8, 1928 at Moncton, she was a daughter of the late Benoit and Domithilde Martin. Edna was married to the love of her life, Daniel, for 63 years. Prior to her failing health, she enjoyed attending mass regularly at the Cathedral with her husband. Besides her husband, Edna is survived by two sons, Brian (Joanne) and Wayne; grandchildren, Gary, Danielle, and Ashley; great-grandchildren Nailah and Lauren; brother, Leo (Kay); good friend, Mary LeBlanc and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her youngest son, Gary; sisters, Maud and Germain and brothers, Edgar and Henry.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Bural will be held from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 12:05 PM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Diabetes Assoication, would be appreciated by the family.
