Passed peacefully away on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Health Science Centre, at the age of 56 years. Predeceased by her husband, Brian Corbett and her parents, Harvey and Genevieve Pendergast. Leaving to mourn are her two daughters, Andrea (Jeff) of St. John’s and Giselle of Labrador City; brothers and sisters, Craig (Linda) Pendergast, St. John’s, John ( Michelle) Pendergast, Mount Pearl, Wenda Temple (Wilson), St. John’s, and Rosie Gardiner (Wayne), Mount Pearl; her brothers-in-law, Patrick (Ruth) Corbett, Gerry (Patricia) Corbett, Robert (Mary) Corbett, Kevin (Daphne) Corbett and Paul (Marie) Corbett; her sisters-in-law, Catherine Stanley (Winston); Bernice Duff (Brian); Sheila Crocker (Winston) and Janet Bursey, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Sunday, August 28th from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Monday, August 29th from 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at Corpus Christi Church on Tuesday August 30, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery on Wednesday August 31, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society to be used for ovarian cancer research.
