Peacefully at the Kings County Memorial Hospital on October 7, 2009, of Walter Cosmos Byrne of Byrne Road, aged 81 years. Beloved brother of Peter Byrne, Micheal (Pearl) Byrne, Daniel (Lorraine) Byrne. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Anna Mae (Clarkin) Byrne, sister Mary Kelly (New York), brothers, Louis, John and Emmanuel Byrne, sister-in-law Mae Byrne, brother-in-law Patrick Kelly, nephew Robert Byrne, infant niece Mary Theresa Byrne and grandniece Kimberley Byrne. Special prayers of intention for Anne Byrne is requested by the family. Resting at the lounge of St. Theresa, the Little Flower, Morell, for visitation on Friday, October 9, 2009, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 10, 2009, at St. Lawrence O’Toole church in Green Meadows at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. If so desired, contributions in memory of Walter may be made to the St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery Fund. Arrangements entrusted to the North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
