MacDONALD, VERONICA LEE “BONNIE” - The death of Bonnie MacDonald of Saint John occurred in Saint John on August 21, 2011. Born April of 1955 in Vancouver, BC she was the daughter of the late Olive Edna (Donovan) MacDonald and Joseph MacDonald of Saint John. Bonnie greatly enjoyed gardening, reading, writing poetry and playing cards with her Dad. She had several poems published in the American Poetry Anthology. Bonnie is survived by her father, Joseph, of Saint John; brother Stuart and wife, Eileen (Garnett) of Rothesay; sister, Kimberly and husband James Prosser of Lenexa, Kansas; five nieces and nephews Heather and Scott MacDonald of Rothesay, Lauren MacDonald of Fredericton; Janelle Prosser of Steamboat Springs, Colorado and Kyle Prosser of Lenexa, Kansas. Bonnie’s mother Olive preceded her in death in 2002.
By the family request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Loch Lomond Villa Chapel 185 Loch Lomond Road Saint John on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a private family interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
