McDAVID, CLIFFORD WILLIAM - 1939-2011 - Clifford William McDavid, 71, of Riverview, formerly of Turtle Creek, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Campbellton, NB, he was the son of the late Chesley and Dorothy (Gallie) McDavid. Clifford attended the Lower Turtle Creek Baptist Church, he was a retired truck driver, a passionate family man who had a love for animals, was known for the pride he took in working around the yard at home and also enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Barbara McDavid (Killam), daughters; Kelly Beers (Harry) of Moncton, Heather Burrell (Orville) of Turtle Creek, sons; Douglas (Carolyn) of Little River and Todd (Lisa) of Turtle Creek, sisters; Mona Galbraith (John) of Herring Cove, NS, Diana Gallant (Richard) of Riverview, 22 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, one very special nephew, Michael, and numerous other nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son Dwayne and a brother Chesley.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. The funeral will be held at Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 2 pm, with Rev. Blake Bartlett officiating. The interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery directly after the service. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
