McDERMAID, DONNA M. - 1957 - 2011 - Miramichi - Donna Marie McDermaid, wife of Darrell McDermaid, of Howard St., Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at the age of 54. Born in Chatham, on June 7, 1957, she was the daughter of Alice (Hay) and the late Leonard Lynch. She was a former employee of Sobeys Ltd., and a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church Church, Miramichi. She is survived by her husband, Darrell; one daughter, Kim Dickson (Stephen), of Glenwood; two step sons, Troy McDermaid (Melissa), of Moncton and Joel McDermaid, of P.E.I.; three sisters, Christina Gilliss, of Miramichi, Karen Thibeault (Paul), of Baie Ste Anne, Sandra Daigle, of Miramichi; six grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Leonard Lynch; one sister, Catherine Lynch; one brother in law, Stephen Gilliss.
Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Calvin Presbyterian Church, on Thursday, September 1, 2011, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Derek Krunys. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Miramichi. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi Chapter of the S.P.C.A., or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
