LEWIS, ALMA (née COLPITTS) - (1920 - 2011) - REXTON, NB - Alma Lewis 81, of Rexton passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Ste. Anne, on Tuesday, August 30th, 2011. Born in Colpitts Settlement, she was the daughter of the late George Arthur and late Mary (Waddell) Colpitts. Alma will be sadly missed by her two daughters; Joanne Vautour (Kenny) of South Branch, Jennifer Richard (Rod) of Rexton, her two sons; Grant Lewis (Carol) of Salisbury, Graig Lewis (Penny) of St. Charles, nine grandchildren; Stewart, Bradley, Mary-Jaye, Glenn, Lani, Angie, Allie, Ryan, Jill, 16 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one brother; Chester Colpitts (late Audrey) of Brockville, ON, her special friend; Leo-Paul Richard, as well as by several nieces and nephews. Other than by her parents, Alma was predeceased by her husband; Reade Lewis and her two brothers; George and Bayne.
Resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Thursday from 2:00 pm until time of funeral. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 1st, 2011 at 3:00 pm, Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital and Dr. Eric Martin for the excellent care offered to Alma.
