Passed away peacefully at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, on Wednesday, August 31st, 2011, at the age of 80 years, Gordon Cyril Fifield. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children; Leila (Gerald Turner), Breda Fifield, Gordie Fifield (Pam Campbell), Brian Fifield (Sharon Howell), his 7 grandchildren; Scott Turner, Laura Turner, Niki Fifield, Corey (Shanna) Gobbie, Katelyn Campbell, Kyle Campbell, & Andrew Fifield, 7 great grandchildren; Ethan Turner, Allyah Turner, Taylor Gushue, Kaylyn Campbell, Lundon Gobbie, Ebaleigh Gobbie, & Brandon Gobbie, his siblings; Wilfred (Madge) Fifield, & Myrtle Burns, his special friend; Mrs. Eva Tansley, also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends. Gordon was predeceased by his wife; Edna Dorothy (nee Rowsell), and his 3 brothers & 2 sisters. The family will be receiving family and friends from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, today Thursday, September 1st, 2011, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where also a memorial service will take place for family and close friends on Friday, September 2nd, 2011, at 2 pm, with Pastor Peter Grimes officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of Wight's Road, Cemetery in Deer Lake, NL.
