Ken Brookes died in hospital in London, UK on Aug. 10, 2011. He was 67.
He was on holiday visiting family when he fell ill.
Born Kenneth JA Brookes in the UK and later moving to Canada, he graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia with a B.Comm and a law degree. After living in Truro for 20 years, he relocated to Thailand. He was a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Nova Scotia Barristers' Association and the Canadian Real Estate Association.
Ken is survived by his wife Lori, his son Geoff living in the UK with wife Doreen and son Jonathan, Geoff's mother Marilyn, his brother Peter in Cape Breton and many friends in Canada, Thailand and abroad who will miss him greatly.
He is remembered for being a marvelous Dad, great scout leader, adventurer, sailor and a professional colleague.
