May 8th, 1928- August 29th, 2011. Passed peacefully away at the Hoyle’s Home, Winnifred Mary Gibbons (nee Hall), age 83. Predeceased by her husband Gus, parents Ken and Annie Hall, brothers Mike, Bill and Bernard, sister Rosemary and brothers-in-law Gerry Hollahan and Bill Mullaly. Leaving to mourn her loving family: sons John and Joe (Cheryl Tulk); daughters Dorothy, Mary (Jim Ellwood), Alice and Rita; grandchildren Kathleen Ellwood, Neil Ellwood (Chelsea Hynes), David Ellwood, Michael Hunt and Megan Hunt (Chad Lowther). Also leaving to mourn her sisters Dorothy Hollahan, Louise Mullaly and Anita (Richard) Lane; brother Gerald (Barbara) Hall; sister-in-law Marie Hall; special friend Elizabeth McCormick and a large circle of family and friends. A very special thank you to the staff of West 1 Hoyle’s Home for your continuous care and comfort over the last five years. Your kindness has meant more than you will ever know. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Wednesday August 31st, 2011 from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Thursday September 1st, 2011 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, September 2nd, 2011 from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist at 9:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Burial will take place at Belvedere Cemetery.
