Lillian Patricia (Pat) McDonald passed away at Heritage Manor in Kindersley, SK Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the age of 93. Pat was a schoolteacher until she married John McDonald of Stranraer, SK in November 1944. They farmed at Plenty and Stranraer. Pat was predeceased by her husband, John, in 1987. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons, Jim (Sherry) McDonald of Kindersley, Bruce McDonald of Whitehorse, Y.T.; her daughters Kathy (Byron) Craik of Moose Jaw, Joan (Glenn) Julseth of Borden, SK, Lynn McDonald (Dave) of Waldheim, SK; 19 grandchildren, including Chey (Cori) Craik and Jesse (Sherry) Craik, both of Moose Jaw and Lori (Jay) Dunbar of Caronport, SK; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
Patricia moved to the Mulberry Estates in Moose Jaw in 2003 where she so enjoyed making friends and all activities. However, after suffering a fall while dancing there, her health deteriorated until she needed long-term care. She lived at Extendicare and Providence Place before her final move back to Heritage Manor in Kindersley in 2007. The funeral took place in Stranraer, SK on August 22, 2011.
